Written by Dario LobassoAs the application is browser-based, SDF Fleet Management allows you to access all important data from your machine at all times and from any location through your smart device.
No matter if you’re a farmer, contractor or any other user – working with standard file formats is particularly important. It's a huge advantage: it makes data exchange between different end points very easy. The benefits are:
- Import and export data for your guidance system
- Manage your tasks to have an overview and insight into the data of work processes
- You can complete your documentation and send it to any end point
- Share data between other farmers or contractors .
The iMonitor3 strictly works with open and standardised file formats, which guarantees the highest reliability: - shape: using this data format you can import and export field boundaries and application maps
- ISO-XML: the iMonitor provides ISOBUS TC-BAS functionality which ensures that the documentation is in ISO-XML data format. This includes all total values that are relevant to the activity performed. The benefit obtained is compatibility for sharing data, e.g. between a farm management system through the iMonitor or with other manufacturers and providers. Tasks can easily be imported to the task controller of the iMonitor3 and/or the finished documentation can be exported afterwards. Thanks to this standardised exchange format, you as a customer can decide which software product best suits your business. In combination with a corresponding software application you can share data with others:
- Farm master data o Jobs (taskdata)
- Field boundaries
- Guidelines
- Application maps
Note: some of these data require a GNSS- position, e.g. provided by a SR20 receiver

Data exchange has become a core element of today’s farm management. The offer for agronomic services has significantly increased and plenty of software applications for different uses are available on the market. To ensure reliable interaction between all players, it is very important to speak a common “digital language” – this is why standardised data formats are fundamental. For an online exchange of agronomic data, interfaces have to be deployed in both software applications as well as in our SDF products. Instead of developing several different interfaces, SDF joined, as a stakeholder, a group of manufacturers with the goal to develop one single and common interface for online data exchange:
CROSS-MANUFACTURER ONLINE DATA EXCHANGE
Agrirouter is a universal data exchange platform that addresses a core digitalisation issue in agriculture: it allows farmers and contractors to exchange data between machinery and agricultural software applications from different manufacturers. Agrirouter simplifies data exchange and therefore work processes, reduces office work and improves financial efficiency, leaving more time for other tasks. Each user can create his or her own free personal Agrirouter account and configure it individually. Benefits:
- Reliable cross-manufacturer data transfer thanks to a common interface
- Wide range of partners: machine manufacturers, software providers and any other external sources. New members are always welcome to join
- Transparency: you remain the owner of your own data (no data storage)
- You decide where your data are sent through predefined and coordinated routes, e.g. from the iMonitor3 to a FMIS.
With the Agrirouter account, you can connect your machines to all applications from Agrirouter partners. A list of partners and additional information can be found at www.my-agrirouter.com. To share data within our machines, SDF integrated an application in the iMonitor3 that can upload and download data from and to Agrirouter. For mobile data transfer, an internet connection is required, which can be provided by our CTM. Existing machines can also be retrofitted with the required SDF components in order to connect to Agrirouter.
